Wireless camera system
Automatic connection between cameras and monitor when changing trailers.
The Camos CM-5050 is a wireless camera system developed specifically for use on tractor-trailer combinations.
It automatically causes the image from the camera on the back of the semi-trailer to appear on the monitor in the cab.
No connection cable between tractor and semi-trailer is needed and the driver does not have to perform any additional operation.
- Automatic pairing between camera and monitor
- Ideal for regularly changing trailers
- Unlimited number of cameras to link

View behind the trailer without needing a connecting cable.
A rearview camera on a semi-trailer usually turns out not to be such a useful solution in practice.
This is especially true when tractors and trailers are switched frequently.
The cable required for the connection between the monitor in the cab and the camera on the back of the trailer is often the cause of this.
This cable is disconnected from the tractor one time and from the trailer the next.
It also happens that a driver forgets to disconnect this cable, causing it to be pulled apart the moment the tractor pulls away.
As a result, there is often no, or a defective, cable for the reversing camera when a driver needs to hitch up a trailer.
Result: no image from the rearview camera on the monitor in the cab.
The solution
The Camos CM-5050 makes it possible, without a connection cable between tractor and trailer, to still always have images with a reversing camera.
The system consists of a transmitter, which is mounted on the trailer, and a receiver, in the cab.
These provide wireless transmission of the camera images to the monitor.
But that’s not all.
The Camos CM-5050 also has automatic pairing functionality.
This means that the receiver in the cab automatically picks up the signal from the transmitter on a trailer when it is coupled to a (new) tractor.
This way, the driver of a tractor-trailer combination always has an image from the rear view camera, without having to perform a single additional action.

Automatic pairing in practice
Step 1 :
The driver drives backward toward the dock and has visibility thanks to the camera on the back of the trailer.
Step 2 :
After disconnecting the trailer, the connection between monitor and camera is disconnected.
Step 3 :
When docking a new trailer, the monitor automatically connects to the camera.
Step 4 :
The driver drives away with the trailer and, without doing anything himself, connects to the camera.
This is how automatic pairing works
Transmitter and receiver connect automatically.
The monitor in the cab is connected to the ‘receiver unit’.
This automatically connects to the ‘transmitter unit’ connected to the camera on the back of the trailer.
The moment a power connection is established between the tractor and the trailer, the camera and monitor are connected.
No further action is required from the driver.
