Rietveld actively contributes to standardization of CO₂ reporting in Transport & Logistics
The need for uniform CO₂ reports is growing rapidly within the logistics industry. Many transportation operators recognize the challenge: varying formats, different requirements from clients and increasing administrative pressure. The result? Inefficiency, extra costs and a lack of overview.
To address this sector-wide challenge, a working group was started this year – on the initiative of industry association DALTI – to work on one unambiguous, widely supported standard for CO₂ reporting. Onno Keizer, Product Manager at Rietveld BV, participates in this working group on behalf of Rietveld and sees daily how great the need for uniformity is.
“Transport operators want clarity and efficiency above all. A standardized approach takes away a lot of manual work and ensures reliability,” Onno said.
One dataset for the entire industry
The working group, consisting of representatives from DALTI members(including Rietveld), TLN, DIL, accountants and experts in the field of CO₂ reporting, among others, is working on a single uniform dataset applicable to all. This initiative is supported by Top Sector Logistics, SUTC, DALTI, accountants and DIL.
The ultimate goal: clear, reliable and uniform CO₂ data at trip, stop and shipment level, easily delivered – also via integrations with Transport Management Systems (TMS).
Strong combination with EasyTrack
In combination with EasyTrack, a complete and reliable picture emerges for sustainable management of transport activities. Transport companies can thus more easily meet the increasing reporting requirements and better manage their sustainability objectives.
Together toward a future-proof industry
Rietveld is proud to actively contribute to this important development. By investing in transparency and standardization, we are working together towards a more efficient, innovative and future-proof logistics sector.
