Rietveld is pleased to announce the appointment of Olaf Gietelink as its new managing director. He succeeds Pleun Rietveld, who, after more than 30 years of successful entrepreneurship and leadership, is handing over his role. This transition marks a significant milestone in Rietveld’s strategic growth and future development.
Pleun Rietveld remains involved
Pleun Rietveld began his journey with the company in 1994 and successfully guided it through an impressive transformation: from a supplier of standalone products to an innovative player in telematics and vehicle safety solutions. The collaboration with OxGreenfield in 2024 enabled Rietveld to further scale this expertise and invest in continued growth.
Pleun Rietveld commented: “After careful consideration and discussions with OxGreenfield, I concluded that this is the right moment for new leadership to take the company into its next phase. Olaf Gietelink is the right person to lead Rietveld’s further development. I will remain actively involved, focusing on business development and supporting the commercial scaling of our activities.“
Olaf Gietelink appointed as managing director
Following an internal process, Olaf Gietelink officially assumes the role of CEO as of 15 May 2025. Olaf brings extensive experience across technical, strategic, and commercial domains. He previously held senior positions at TNO Automotive, TU Delft, and McKinsey. Most recently, at TomTom, he was responsible for strategy, acquisitions, product marketing, and sales in the telematics and automotive sectors.
His broad expertise will be instrumental in further strengthening Rietveld’s position as a leading provider of fleet management and safety solutions.
