Cooperation EasyTrip & Rietveld for KM levy trucks
On July 1, 2026, the Eurovignette in the Netherlands will be replaced by a kilometer charge for trucks over 3.5 tons. Transport companies will then pay based on kilometers driven, CO₂ emission class, weight and road type.
Although this regulation has been announced for quite some time, we notice in conversations with our relations that many organizations still have questions about the practical details and implementation.
Because we like to think with our customers and help them move forward, we started looking for a reliable partner for this solution. This led to a partnership between Rietveld and EasyTrip Transport Services.
Support for transition to mileage charging
The new regulation requires transport companies to equip their vehicles with an OBU (On Board Unit). This toll module automatically records miles driven and handles toll payment.
EasyTrip supplies EETS-certified OBUs for this purpose, which automatically process toll collection. Rietveld then supports customers with the installation and activation of these systems in the vehicle.
Although this solution is not a standard part of our software applications, we see it as an additional service and a logical extension of our services. Our customers rely on us for solutions around vehicle management and fleets, which is why we also help with this new development.
Service for fleets and transportation organizations
The introduction of the mileage charge has an impact on fleets and their daily operations. Rietveld is therefore happy to think along with transport companies and fleet managers.
